Yemanjo

Yemanjo is the globe-spanning project of producer, DJ, singer and musician Ben Harris. Raised in the rich culture of California’s Bay Area, Harris’ work is influenced by the world music styles he has encountered through extensive world travels.

 

In a contemporary reality based on division and categorization, Yemanjo's music aims to break down the borders that divide us as cultures and individuals, and honor the diversity of human expression through sound.

 

Yemanjo’s sound is a unique fusion of downtempo and organic house beats with traditional sounds from Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.  2024 saw the release of “La Misma Fuente”, an acclaimed album on Wonderwheel Recordings, and in 2025, Yemanjo will self-release another full length album entitled "Semillas De Poder" featuring collaborations with singer Irene Rosalia of Venezuela.
